If you have never hired a professional pet sitting service before you will certainly have some questions about the person who will be caring for your precious pets and home while you are away.

We can assure you that ALL the professional pet sitting services on our Referral Service have been pre-screened for you.  However here are some questions you should ask of ANY sitter who will be caring for your pets.  Please feel free to print this list out.

1. Are you bonded?
2. Do you have liability insurance?
3. Do you have any special training in this field?
4. Do you have training in Pet First aid?
5. Do you provide Service Contracts & Veterinary Authorization for Treatment forms?
6. Are you a member of any professional organizations related to this field?
7. Do you have an written references from other clients I may see?
8. Are you an owner operator or do you have employees you will be sending to care for my pet(s)?

A professional, trained pet sitting business owner will have no problem answering all of the questions above.  If you find the service you contacted cannot then try another service.  You need to be comfortable and confident the person caring for your home and pet is a professional and can handle any situation that may arise.
